From November 5 to 10, 2018, the first China International Import Expo (CIIE), the world's first import-oriented national exhibition, is held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). China, the host of the Expo, opens her arms and markets to the international community and welcomes guests and friends from all over the world to seek cooperation and share the future.
There are more than 3,600 exhibitors and nearly 160,000 purchasers at the CIIE. The high level, large scale and great number of participants of the CIIE show that it is an extraordinary exhibition. However, channel congestion, signal interference, communication blind spots and other issues may easily occur in such a large-scale exhibition, which poses a huge challenge to the security work. Caltta, together with North Communications (Shanghai) Co., LTD, has deployed an integrated dispatch system combining private and public networks. The system makes full use of the high reliability of the private network and the wide coverage of the public network to ensure efficient and smooth security command and dispatch during the CIIE.
Security guards, equipped with the Caltta GH880 (a dual-mode trunking radio), conduct inspections and capture video in key areas such as entrances and exits, densely populated areas and major traffic lines of the exhibition halls with the help of the Shanghai 1.4G government private wireless network. In the areas with good public network coverage, the eChat public network trunking system can be used for command and dispatch because the terminals on both the public and the private networks can be mixed and grouped for unified dispatching. In case of emergency, the terminals on the public and the private networks can initiate emergency calls and automatically send video and the site incident location to the dispatching console. The Caltta integrated dispatch platform can process such services as voice dispatch, video pull-up and video intercom on terminals on the private and the public networks. The platform can also locate terminals, display the location information, perform track playback and conduct map-based visual and voice dispatching. Therefore, the information-based emergency management and response efficiency can be improved.
Caltta provides a portable LTE emergency command system to cover signal or monitoring blind areas. The system can deploy a LTE LAN in a short time to enable a full set of emergency command functions. Furthermore, it can allow the access of video capture terminals such as body-worn, monitor ball and mobile cameras and can also conveniently intercommunicate with the command center.
In the Hongqiao Management Committee Emergency Response Center, the safeguarding personnel carry out comprehensive monitoring and perceiving of the CIIE zone utilizing the 4G private wireless network and the Internet of Things (IoT). Tens of thousands of IoT sensor terminals have so far been installed in the Hongqiao business district core area. They are used in fields such as environmental monitoring, fire protection safety, utility management and convenient services to ensure people's well-being. The system, relying on the Shanghai Caltta 1.4G government private wireless network, is an innovation based on deep integration between the government private wireless network and the IoT. During CIIE, the platform provides private network guarantee and data support to facilitate beautification of the exhibition halls and the surrounding areas.
At present, the systems and terminals have been deployed inside and outside the CIIE venues. Caltta provides 24/7 communication support during the CIIE to help enable smooth security function execution.
